The quality of cars is falling, and today many complain that new cars without adventures do not even reach the end of their warranty period. It becomes even worse for those who buy a car on the secondary market – there is no guarantee here anymore and the problem with permanent breakdowns is more acute than ever.

Statistics come to the rescue, which scrupulously collects data on millions of cars and their breakdowns. After 5-10 years after leaving the salon, almost everything breaks down, but some of the cars do it very, very rarely. Here are 5 SUVs that, according to statistics, almost save their owners from having to constantly go to the service, even after hundreds of thousands of kilometers of mileage.

Subaru Forester 2014

According to the reliability statistics, the Forester is unpretentious and can drive for a very long time. All modifications of the 2014-2019 generation have the highest fault tolerance score. The fifth generation of the model. The car premiered at the New York Auto Show on March 28, 2018. The increase in overall dimensions has affected the space in the cabin: the maximum distance between the backs of the front and rear seats is now 1001 mm (which is 36 mm more than before), and an increase in head and shoulder space is also announced. The opening angle of the rear door is also increased. As for the trunk, its maximum size (with folded backs, the ratio is 60:40) is now 2155 l (the increase was 40 l), the width of the trunk lid is 1300 mm (previously-1166 mm). In addition to increasing the size, the use of the new platform has also improved the sound insulation of the interior.

Presented in the United States, the Subaru Forester is equipped with a basic 2.5-liter naturally aspirated opposed engine for this market, which has been upgraded. Now it uses direct injection, increased compression ratio, and a Start/Stop system.

Honda CR-V 2007 and 2016

The only drawback of the CR-V is the lack of engine power. From the 2007 model year to the 2011 model year, the CR-V received a perfect reliability rating almost every year. Even after 10 years of careful operation, it rarely breaks down.

Compared to the previous generation, the appearance of the fifth-generation Honda CR-V has become more conservative. The body has acquired a more classic form, inherent in most modern crossovers of this class. Mainly, the designers got rid of the effect of the falling roof, "inflated" the rear wheel arches, and also increased the wheelbase, which is now 2261 mm (+41).

The front part received a different radiator grille, as well as a modified bumper with C-shaped vyshtampovkami on the sides. In turn, in the aft area, large vertical lights, recognizable from their predecessors, have been preserved, which now also go to the luggage compartment lid. Among other features, it is worth noting a wider protective plastic with decorative inserts running along the lower edge of the machine body.

The interior was also noticeably transformed. On the modern dashboard, a console with a 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system stands out, under which the climate control unit fits ergonomically, as well as the speed selector switch, located as usual for previous models.
The steering wheel has also been changed, and the instrument panel has become fully electronic and consists of three sections. Thanks to the increased overall dimensions, the interior has become noticeably more spacious and comfortable for passengers. To top it all off, the manufacturer has replaced the decor and finishing materials with more modern and high-quality ones.
Also added to the list of additional equipment, among which it is worth highlighting the electric drive and heated front seats, 8 airbags, adaptive cruise control, assistant at the start of the mountain and descent, tire pressure monitoring sensors, adaptive electric power steering, collision prevention system, warning system about leaving the occupied lane and exit from the road.

 Hyundai Tucson 2016

The model generation of 2016, although it appeared relatively recently, has already received the highest scores in many reliability ratings.

Toyota Highlander

Outwardly brutal, not the most economical, but very unpretentious. In the reliability rating, the highest lines are occupied by almost all modifications, regardless of the year and type of engine
The change of generation dramatically affected the appearance of the crossover. By narrowing the head optics, giving the false radiator grille a strictly defined shape of an inverted trapezoid, and also "lifting" the unpainted part of the front bumper quite high, the designers were able to give a rather "family" crossover in the previous generation a slightly unnatural aggression. The image is only enhanced by the reduced area of the side glazing with a falling line. Therefore, the" profile " of the Highlander looks deliberately sporty.

Despite the emphasized aggressiveness of the image, the Highlander is positioned primarily as a family crossover, as evidenced by the presence of three rows of seats in the basic configuration. That is why one of the main accents for such a car should be safety.

Acura MDX 2013

Mid-size crossover Acura MDX received the fifth line of the rating. In Russia, the car is not very well known and completely in vain: according to the owners, the equipment is convenient both in urban conditions and on the road.
The most interesting thing is that none of the European manufacturers received the highest ratings - all break down without exception. It seems that it is time for Europe to learn how to make cars in the East.

The debut of the restyled version of the third-generation model took place at the New York Auto Show in March 2016.

When updating the MDX exterior, Acura designers focused on the front of the car. In particular, it sports a modified grille (similar to the Acura Precision concept), different bumpers, LED fog lights Jewel Eye, redrawn taillights and wheels, as well as two trapezoidal exhaust pipes.

The interior of the Acura MDX has also changed. The most significant of them is the separate second – row seats available as an option. In addition, for an additional fee, you can choose styling packages with different options for finishing the interior with wood.

The key innovation of the restyled version of the MDX can be called the appearance of a hybrid modification, the power plant of which consists of a 3-liter gasoline V6 that produces 294 hp of power and 362 Nm of torque, working in cooperation with three electric motors. One of them is integrated into a 7-speed robotic transmission, and the other two drive the rear wheels. The total return of the Sport Hybrid version is 329 "horses". At the same time, the fuel consumption in the combined cycle (according to the passport) does not exceed the mark of 9 liters per 100 km.
