• Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo (”Justice League " 2017)

The Mercedes-Benz company took the main place in the cars in the DC comics about Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and others. In the science fiction” Justice League", Bruce Wayne himself moves around the city in a prototype Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo.



Naturally, there is no need to put on a mask and get into the batmobile yet. By the way, the Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo was originally designed not for car dealerships, and not for cinema, but for the Gran Turismo car simulator on the PlayStation.


  •  Lexus 2054 ("Dissenting Opinion" 2002)

The Lexus 2054 is a prototype designed by artist Harald Belker and the California-based Lexus design studio at the request of Steven Spielberg for the 2002 film Dissenting Opinion. The sports coupe with a forward-facing two-seat cabin is equipped with a fuel-cell powerplant, autopilot projection displays, gesture and voice control functions, a night vision camera and many other features.




After the premiere of the film, the Lexus 2054 was exhibited at several car shows, and one of the two cars built even took part in another blockbuster - “Island” in 2005, directed by Michael Bay. However, it was repainted in blue.

  •  Audi RSQ (”I, Robot " 2004)

is another good example when the concept is created for filmmakers. In the 2004 sci-fi action film I, Robot, Will Smith's character navigates Chicago 2035 in a mid-engined Audi RSQ concept coupe, specially designed by Audi's team of engineers and designers for the film
Inspired by the Audi Le Mans quattro prototype (later to become the production R8), the RSQ features an MMI media center, spherical wheels, so-called butterfly reverse doors, and, of course, Audi's signature trapezoidal grille, so that the viewer can easily identify the brand.




  • 4. Cadillac Cien (“the Island” in 2005)

Michael Bay's 2005 film "The Island", which flashed a repainted after Lexus 2054. But the main automotive role in the blockbuster was played by the Cadillac Cien concept car. Unlike the two previous prototypes, the Cien originally debuted at the 2002 Detroit Auto Show as part of Cadillac's 100th anniversary celebration.

The fully-powered mid-engine rear-wheel drive prototype was built in the UK by Prodrive. The design is inspired by the fifth-generation F-22 Raptor multirole fighter. The chassis and body are made using aerogel composite. The engine is a 7.5-liter V12 petrol engine with 750 horsepower and 812 Nm of torque.
 

  • Chevrolet Stingray Concept (”Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen " 2009)

In the first part of Michael Bay's fantastic action movie “Transformers”, the General Motors concern is presented in all its glory. Perhaps one of the best examples of modern product placement.

The success prompted GM to roll out several concept cars in the continuation of 2009, and one of them - the Chevrolet Stingray Concept. Immediately after the premiere of the film, the concept was presented at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show.


  • Acura NSX Roadster Concept (“the Avengers” in 2012)

While Audi did not steal the entire product placement in the Marvel cinematic universe, in some films you could still find Acura cars, including a concept open version of the mid-engine sports car NSX.
